Share Your Skills to Empower Rural Players
R.I.S.E. relies on the specialized skills and dedication of volunteers to bridge the gap in rural social connections. Whether you are a Game Master, story writer, community advocate, or helper, your time changes futures.
Ways to Get Involved
We have various specialized roles depending on your skills, experience, and interests.
Campaign Facilitation / Co-GMing
Assist Game Masters in running active sessions. Co-GMs help track initiative, coordinate digital maps, manage rules parameters, and help keep sessions running smoothly and predictably for players.
Story, Quest & Scenario Writing
Collaborate with our special education team to draft engaging, structured, and goal-oriented adventures that GMs can run. Your narrative designs will help scaffold key social milestones and cooperative interactions.
Community Outreach
Help us raise awareness in rural counties. Volunteers in outreach coordinate with local community centers, libraries, and family support groups to ensure players in need know about R.I.S.E. programs.
Technical Support & Setup
Some players need a bit of technical onboarding to use platforms like Discord, Zoom, or virtual tabletops. Tech support volunteers guide players and families through initial hardware/software setups.
